The Help

This was a touching book, but my favorite parts came at the end as we learned why each of the maids kept their jobs. The white women did not want to admit that any of the secrets shared were their own.

The movie followed the book well, although it was hazy on the above point. Abileen, Minny, and Skeeter all were cast well, and did a nice acting job. I loved it when Skeeter's mom threw Hilly off the porch. I also liked when Abileen told Elizabeth "You give my sweet girl a chance."
